About MezaData
An independent project that turns the open State Forest Register (VMD) into a fast, comparable timber valuation for first-pass screening.
What MezaData is
MezaData aggregates the public State Forest Register (Meža valsts reÄ£istrs, VMD) and computes, per cadastre, an indicative timber value, risk signals and a per-stand calculator. It is a first-pass screening tool ā to grasp the order of magnitude for a property in a minute, instead of guessing from a single record.
Where the data comes from
The source is VMD open data (data.gov.lv), refreshed every quarter. We do not edit the inventory: the numbers are built from the same fields any owner sees in their own record. See āMethodologyā for exactly how we compute them. Methodology.
What MezaData does not do
- It is not an official appraisal and does not replace a certified valuer.
- The figures are indicative, accurate to Ā±25% ā the real price depends on assortment, logistics and deal format.
- We are not affiliated with VMD, LVM or any timber buyer.
