Two cadastral values since 2025: why property tax on your forest did not rise
Contrary to a widespread belief, revisiting cadastral values in Latvia has not raised property tax on forest. Since 2025 two values are kept apart: the fiscal one, which the tax is calculated from and which stays at its previous level, and the universal one, which tracks the market but does not affect tax.
